Baseball Claims Second Straight Shutout Win

The Wisco baseball team put together another solid performance on Friday, shutting out Cudahy 9-0 to earn their second victory in as many days. Tyler Danko held the Packers to 3 hits and struck out 8 over 6 strong innings on the mound.

On offense, the Vikings put the ball in play and took advantage of 7 Cudahy errors. Mason Ruh came across on an error in the 2nd to open the scoring. Zach Adams drove in the second run with a single in the 3rd, and then two more runs came in on another fielding miscue. Eddie Ryners and Ethan Muma executed a double steal in the 4th to make it 4-0, and Danko and Lucas Oswald drove in the next two runs to give Wisco back-to-back three-run innings. Micah Koschnitzke and Cody Weber plated the final two runs with a walk and a single, respectively.

Danko, Weber, and Ruh all enjoyed multi-hit games at the plate and Ethan Waldenmeyer closed things down by pitching a scoreless 7th.

The Vikings have the opportunity of a lifetime next week when they take on Arrowhead at American Family Field. Game time is schedule for 5 PM on Wednesday, May 19. Fans can help the team by purchasing vouchers to Brewers games. More details are available here.
