Girls Track Places Second at Home Invite

On a hot, humid day, the girls track & field team battled to a 2nd place finish in the morning session of the Carleton Sitz Invitational at WLHS.

Four field event winners led the way for the Vikings. Jaiah Hopf won both the long jump and triple jump, establishing new meet records in both and a new stadium record in the long jump. Malia Lee was victorious in the shot put and Kayla Wigley captured the high jump. On the track, Eva Kuehn dominated the field in the 3200, besting the second place runner by one minute.
