Bats Go Silent Late in Loss
The Wisco softball team suffered a 5-3 loss at Whitnall on Monday afternoon. After building a 3-0 lead through an inning and a half, the Vikings got just one hit over the final 5 innings while the Falcons picked up 7 hits and turned them into 5 runs.
Melissa Tonn singled in Eden Rader with the game's first run. Emily Buch brought home two runs with a double in the 2nd inning. But Kylie Bilitz's bunt single to lead off the 7th was the only offense Wisco could muster the rest of the way. Meanwhile, the Falcons scored once in the 2nd and three times in the 4th to take a lead they would not relinquish.
The Vikings host West Allis Central at Rainbow Park on Tuesday.
