West Tops Wisco

Seventh-ranked New Berlin West proved too much for Wisco on Thursday, holding the Vikings to just one hit in a 5-1 loss.

West took advantage of a pair of errors in the bottom of the 1st inning and scored two unearned runs. Lauren Braatz walked to lead off the top of the 2nd inning for the Vikings and moved to second base on Tabitha Fromm's bunt single. After Chloe Koschnitzke was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Kylie Bilitz drove in Braatz with an RBI groundout to trim the lead to 2-1. But Wisco would manage just one baserunner the rest of the way.

The team will look to bounce back on June 4 when they travel to Milwaukee Lutheran for a 4:30 PM game.
