Girls Track has Strong Sectional Showing
The girls track & field team continued its fine season with a 2nd place finish at the WIAA Sectional Championship at West Allis Hale on Thursday night. The team qualified for next Saturday's State Championship in La Crosse in eight different events.
Jaiah Hopf earned the right to defend her state titles in the long jump and triple jump, Deanna Campbell will return to state in the 100m dash, and the two of them will also compete in the 4x200 relay, along with Koto Imahori, Bella Backus, Myla Ellis, and Emma Johnson. Allie Orlowski is another returner to state; she qualified in the pole vault. Freshman Eva Kuehn advanced in the 1600m and 3200m, and senior Malia Lee qualified in the shot put.
