Kuehn Races to 3rd Place Finish in Season Opener
The girls cross country team opened the season at the Leighton Betz Invitational on Friday evening, and sophomore Eva Kuehn picked up right where she left off last season. Kuehn, who finished 30th in the state at the Division 1 Championships last fall, covered the 5,000-meter course at Greenfield Park in 19:19.4. That placed her third in a strong field of 123 runners.
The team finished 12th out of 19 complete teams. Makayla Wendl (22:41), Kirstin Neuwirth (22:43), Annabelle Nault (22:46), and Jenna Goelz (22:52) rounded out the scoring.
