Volleyball Wins Title at Grayslake
The Wisco volleyball team swept through pool play and bracket play, going 5-0 on the day to win the Ram Slam at Grayslake Central High School in northern Illinois.
The Vikings defeated Riverside-Brookfield, Grayslake North, and Carmel Catholic in pool play before knocking off Grayslake Central in the semifinals and topping Carmel for a second time to win the championship.
Kayla Wigley and Chloe Campbell each tallied 39 kills in the five matches. Hannah Trotter had 70 assists while Lilia Kasten had 45. Kati Goba came up with 55 digs while Wigley added 47; Trotter served up 10 aces as Kasten and Wigley added 4 apiece. And Campbell had 13 blocks while Kasten added 6.
The team returns to Woodland Conference play on Tuesday, September 7, when they travel to Pius XI for a 6:30 PM match.
