Vikings Romp to Victory

The Wisco defense picked off three passes and the Wisco offense rushed for six touchdowns in a 44-7 romp over South Milwaukee at Raabe Stadium on Friday night.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Viking offense exploded for 23 points in the second stanza. Jaxon Raabe got things started with a 6-yard scoring run, Micarian Williams ran one in from four yards out, and Kamarion Burbridge scored the first of his three touchdowns on the night by pounding one in from two yards away. Burbridge scored again on a short run in the third quarter and once more from a yard out in the fourth quarter before Keegan Pagel's two-yard TD capped the scoring for the Vikings.

James Sutter led the team with 100 rushing yards on 10 attempts. Burbridge added 79 yards and Williams rushed for 52, as the team outgained the Rockets 283-74 on the ground. The defense shut down the South Milwaukee aerial attack with three interceptions. Micah Koschnitzke, Brendan Lane, and Tony Jones each came up with a pick to set up short fields for the offense.
