Volleyball Dominates En Route to Conference Title
The Viking volleyball team captured the Woodland Conference Tournament in emphatic fashion, winning every set on their way to the championship.
Wisco defeated South Milwaukee, Greenfield, and Pius XI. They also topped New Berlin West - the only conference team to defeat the Vikings during the regular season - twice, once in pool play and again in the championship match.
Hannah Trotter led the team with 17 aces and 80 digs over the course of the tournament. Grace Schneider and Kayla Wigley each had 37 kills, Chloe Campbell and Lilia Kasten had 5 blocks apiece, and Kati Goba came up with 41 digs.
The conference champion Vikings have received a first-round bye in the WIAA playoffs. They will host a regional final on Saturday, October 23, against the winner of the Waukesha North-Milwaukee Riverside match.
