Wrestlers Grapple at Slinger
The Viking wrestling team competed in its first large tournament of the season, taking part in the 16-team Gunslinger Invitational at Slinger High School on Saturday. The team scored 163.5 points to place 13th.
Jordan Jackson claimed the highest finish for the team on the day, placing 5th at 285. Amos Weide (106) placed 7th, and Blake Wetzel (145) and Henry Brockman (160) each placed 11th.
The team begins conference action on Thursday night when they travel to Pius XI for a 7:00 PM dual.
