Vikings Pounce on Panthers
The Wisco basketball team jumped all over visiting Greendale in the early going and cruised to an 89-38 victory Friday night at WLHS. The win moved the team to 10-1 on the season and 4-0 in Woodland West play.
Jamiir Allen matched his career high with 18 points in the first half, outscoring the entire Panthers team, as the Vikings took a 53-17 lead into the locker room. Wisco shot 64% and forced 18 turnovers before halftime, while holding Greendale to 28% from the field over the same stretch.
Allen finished with a new career high of 25 points, which he achieved on 10-11 shooting in 17 minutes of action. He added three rebounds, three assists, and three steals to complete a fine all-around night. Alex Hernandez joined him in double figures with 10 points, and a host of Vikings scored between seven and nine points, led by Kon Knueppel (9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals), Josh Knueppel (9 points), and Prentice Young (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists).
