Two Viking wrestlers participated in the WIAA Individual State Championship in Madison on Thursday.
Coen Henn (113) won his opening round match 1-0 over Cole Dummer of Union Grove. Noah Tonsor of Slinger defeated him (Fall, 4:49) in the quarterfinals, but he has a place in the consolation bracket. He will continue wrestling on Friday, working towards a potential third-place finish.
Jordan Jackson lost his opening round match to Noah Vils of Sauk Prairie (Fall, 1:37), ending a fine season that saw him win conference, regional, and sectional championships.
