Viking-2-Viking: Engineering

The first Viking-2-Viking event was Thursday, September 22. Viking-2-Viking brings together young alumni professionals with juniors and seniors to talk about life after graduation, career paths, and how to be productive, Christ-centered professionals. The topic this month was engineering. WLHS was excited to welcome back the following alumni:
  • Alex Evans ('15) graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Composite Materials Engineering in 2020. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Evans completed a Structural R&D Engineering Internship at RTP Company, a global compounder of customer engineered thermoplastics. Alex currently works as a Technical Services Engineer at Fiberesin Industries in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
  • Allison (Ally) Lunow ('16) attended UW-Platteville and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelors in Science in Industrial Engineering, with a minor in Business Administration. During her time in school, she completed two summer internships with Alto-Shaam as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern working on sheet metal fabrication and assembly. Ally's first job after graduation was with Mercury Marine as an Industrial Engineer, implementing assembly processes for large internal combustion engines. She currently serves Mercury Marine as a Manufacturing Engineer, designing assembly lines and equipment for electric engines.
WLHS is grateful to Alex and Ally for sharing their experiences and expertise with our students.
