Math Curriculum Expansion

Starting with the 2023-24 school year, WLHS will expand its math curriculum. Instead of offering AP Calculus BC for a full year, WLHS students will have the opportunity to take two semesters of dual credit Calculus 2 and Calculus 3, offered through Wisconsin Lutheran College. These two courses will provide the opportunity for our most advanced math students to earn up to 12 credits in college calculus instead of the 8-10 credits they may receive if they successfully complete the AP Calculus BC exam. Another added benefit in this change is that these dual credit courses will be offered at WLHS and taught by Mr. Marc Shambeau (pictured). Mr. Shambeau has spent the last two years completing the 18 graduate level math credits needed to teach dual credit college courses.
