the SHANs
The third annual SHANs (Student Homes Awards Night) took place this past Monday. The House Parents and I try to find an award, humurous or meaningful, to give the students as a way to not only honor them but remind them that they are loved! The award is written on the back of a t-shirt that we make screen print together. Here are a few highlights . . .

One time at a hopital the nurse couldn't pronounce Kevin's Chinese name (Kewei), so she called him Kiwi. The nickname may or may not have stuck.

Ethan works out everyday and has got some manly muscles as a result.

If you ever walk into Zion, you see Chen is in one of two places: studying for an AP test at his desk or cooking up some delicious dish at the stove.
