Vikings Can't Catch up to Greendale
The girls softball team watched Greendale jump out to an early lead and couldn't recover in a 12-2 loss to the Panthers on Thursday.
Greendale scored on a double by Mary Lokker, a single by Arianna Bable, and a groundout by Riley Polasek in the first inning and never looked back.
Wisco struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Greendale HS, giving up 12 runs.
Allyson Gaballero got the win for Greendale HS. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one.
Maggie Johnston took the loss for Wisco. She went four innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and striking out one.
Sam Thompson, Leah Pinnow, Alyssa Kieselhorst, Reagan Derouin, and Kimberly Wandschneider each collected one hit to lead the Vikings.
Greendale totaled 13 hits in the game. Polasek, Diana Victory, Bable, and Lokker each managed multiple hits for the Panthers.
