Fall Fun: Kayaking, the Zoo, and Brewers Baseball

In September we had the kickoff of our “Funtivities”-- off-campus trips to different fun activities around the Milwaukee area.
While the weather was still warm, one group went out on the Milwaukee River for urban kayaking. Another group went to the Milwaukee Zoo, just down the road from WLHS; some of the highlights were spotting the new female jaguar, learning that hippos cannot swim, and feeding the giraffes. The third group was very excited to see the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, first place in their division, for their final home game of the season. The students were joined by two wonderful school staff members, Ms. Rachel Rosenberg and Mrs. Gayle Rosenberg, and enjoyed a classic American pastime seeing the Brewers win!

Funtivities will continue throughout the year, helping our students build community and create fun memories of Milwaukee together!
