Viking Christian Leaders: Peace

Congratulations to Luke Rodgers ('23) and Eviana Uttech ('24), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of December under “The Wisco Way Word": Peace. We thank God for the way Luke and Eviana have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leaders Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Luke is from New Berlin, Wisconsin, and he is a member at Star of Bethlehem, where he also attended grade school.

Currently a senior at Wisco, Luke has participated in soccer, track, basketball, baseball, WWW, VCLA, and NHS. He has also served as a mentor to an international student and as a camp counselor for the Viking Explorers Soccer Camp.

Luke has volunteered at Star of Bethlehem by serving as an usher.

In his spare time, Luke enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking long walks on the beach, and skiing.

Luke characterizes peace in Christian leadership as being slow to anger and frustration and knowing that God will guide you through any times of stress or worry.

Eviana is from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and she is a member at Christ the Lord in Brookfield, where she also attended grade school.

Currently a junior at Wisco, Eviana has participated in Viking Steel, Woodwind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Inspiration, Marching Band, Pit Orchestra. She has also been involved in Hope Squad, Compass, Art Club, and WWW. She went on the Viking Steel Tour this past summer and has been a camp counselor for Viking Explorers Steelpan Camp.

Eviana has volunteered at Christ the Lord by playing instruments for church services and helping out in the preschool room during Sunday School.

In her spare time, Eviana enjoys photography, babysitting, composing and arranging music, practicing instruments, and conversing with friends and family.

After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Eviana hopes to major in some area of music as well as education.

Eviana characterizes peace in Christian leadership as finding an infinite amount of hope and joy by surrendering to the Lord and accepting that He is enough despite all the flaws that would otherwise deem us unworthy of His love.
