It took the Wisco softball team just five innings to dispatch Pewaukee on Friday night, as the Vikings triumphed over the host Pirates by a score of 14-0.
Sydney Vitangcol threw all five innings and no-hit the Pirates. She struck out 14 of the 16 batters she faced, with the only baserunner reaching on a dropped third strike. Vitangcol also provided punch at the plate, taking a 1-0 pitch deep in the top of the 1st for a two-run home run and finishing 3-3 at the plate. Tabitha Fromm also enjoyed a three-hit day. She went yard as part of a six-run 4th inning that blew the game open. She drove in three runs on the day. Eden Rader doubled twice, and Sofia Schroeder, Chloe Koschnitzke, Katie Meyer, and Kenly Frey all also enjoyed multi-hit games.
The Vikings take to the road to face #4 Lakeside Lutheran on Saturday morning in Lake Mills.
