WLHS hosted 15 students and two adult chaperones from Ecuador for a two-week spring camp. Some of the many activities they experienced have included a tour of the city of Milwaukee, an Admirals hockey game, campus visits of Wisconsin Lutheran College and UW-Milwaukee, Wisconsin dairy farm experience, volunteer project at Feeding America, Sky Zone trampoline park, and much more.
The Ecuadorian students also shadowed WLHS students during the school day, participated in classroom conversations with WLHS Spanish classes, and presented shared characteristics of Ecuadorian culture with students at Christ-St. Peter Lutheran School. The visiting students stayed with host families, but also had a two-nights stay in Honey Creek Hall Dormitory. The camp experience concluded with a final day trip to Chicago.
