The 2023 WSMA State Solo & Ensemble took place on April 29, at UW-Milwaukee. After receiving a *1 rating on class A material, twenty-one students performed solo/duet pieces, as well as the jazz ensemble. Wisco musicians brought home 16 first place ratings, including four exemplary performance nominations. Thea Stewartson ('24) - alto solo and Nathaniel Crowder ('24) - steel pan solo received the awards for exemplary performances at their site. Congratulations to all Wisco students who participated at the state level festival!
