A Global New Year Celebration
The Wisco community recently enjoyed a festive Global New Year celebration highlighting cultures from around the world. The annual event brought together international students, American student mentors, faculty, and host families for an evening centered on global cuisine, cultural exchange, and friendship.
Guests enjoyed a dinner featuring a wide assortment of international dishes prepared by local restaurants along with offerings from the WLHS catering team. Throughout the evening, students explored traditional games and crafts representing different cultures. A spirited trivia competition challenged participants to test their knowledge of customs and traditions from around the globe, while a photo booth provided a fun way to capture memories with new and old friends alike.
The celebration concluded with an energetic round of karaoke as students took turns at the microphone, keeping the festivities going well into the evening.
