At Senior Chapel and the end of this school year, we took time to recognize and thank several departing members of our Wisco family for their faithful service to our students and school.
Mr. Pete Schumacher was honored for 30 years of ministry at Wisco in Guidance, now Student Services, where he was a school counselor. Mr. Schumacher also taught AP Psychology, supported the Advanced Placement program, coached baseball, and faithfully cared for students and families. We also thanked Mrs. Patti Wenzel (’83), a proud Wisco graduate, for sharing her gifts through fashion technology classes, Fashion Club, theater costumes, and the In the Image Fashion Show.
Mr. Doug Carter was recognized for his eight years as Dean of Residential Life, mentoring and witnessing to the students living on our campus. Ms. Angela Horneber was thanked for her service as our Residential Life Advisor, her work with dorm students, and her contributions to the Language Learners Club and International Education Week.
We thank God for Mr. Josh Gumm for his years of service as Wisco's first controller. He provided clearer financial guidelines and strengthened the way we steward the blessings God has given to Wisco.
We also give thanks for Mr. Kostia Skorenkyi for his two years of service as a Honey Creek Hall dorm supervisor while attending Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, and for Mrs. Sarah Koelpin, who served this year teaching Spanish 1 and 2, supporting Hispanic Heritage Month, and coaching girls track.
We thank God for the many ways these individuals have served Wisco and pray that God will continue to bless their ministry in the future.
