Making Music Together: Viking Steel Community Band
The Viking Steel Community Band is back in action, bringing together alumni, friends of Wisco, parents, and community members for music and connection. The group meets Sunday evenings in the Wisco Panyard, and while making music is at the heart of the experience, the sense of community may be just as meaningful.
One participant recently shared how much joy the group has brought, describing the fun of reconnecting with old friends, making music alongside family, and seeing familiar faces from years past. Another summed it up simply: “This is my favorite thing to do during the week.”

That is what Viking Steel Community Band is all about — creating a place where generations can come together, friendships can be renewed, and people can simply enjoy making music together.
