National School Choice Week: January 25-31

National School Choice Week is January 25–31, a nationwide celebration that shines a spotlight on the many K–12 education options available to families—and the positive impact those opportunities have on students. At Wisconsin Lutheran High School, we are especially grateful for the expanded way the Choice programs have allowed us to serve families, congregations, and elementary schools throughout the WLHS Conference.

Monday, February 2, is opening day for the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) and the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) for the 2026–27 school year. Click here for more information, including required documents and important deadlines.
Milwaukee became a pilot city for school choice in 1990, giving families the ability to choose the school that best fits their child as education dollars follow eligible students to their selected school. WLHS has participated in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) since the 2000–01 school year, and later joined the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) in 2015–16, expanding access for families outside Milwaukee.
