Special Assembly Addresses Trauma Awareness
On February 24, WLHS gathered for a special assembly featuring guest speaker Ms. Hannah Zuleger from Christian Family Solutions. Campus Pastor Phil Huebner ('99) opened the assembly with a devotion, setting a Christ-centered foundation for the morning. Seniors Jackson Lindenberg and Amaya Hotchkiss then courageously shared their personal experiences with trauma and spoke about how they rely on support systems, available resources, and their faith as they navigate challenges.
Ms. Zuleger helped students better understand trauma—what it is, how to recognize its signs and symptoms, and healthy ways to cope or offer support to others. Her presentation provided practical insights and tools that encouraged awareness, compassion, and resilience.
