As temperatures begin to warm, we want to remind families of our after-school expectations. When the temperature is 50 degrees or warmer, students who are waiting for a ride must remain outside the building unless they have prior approval to be in a supervised area. Our policy states that students who are not involved in a scheduled after-school activity must leave the building by 3:10 p.m.
We also want to discourage students from gathering at nearby businesses, including Starbucks and Pick ’n Save, especially if they are not customers. Spending extended time at these locations without making a purchase is not appropriate and does not reflect well on our school.
We respectfully ask parents to:
Arrange pick-up for students who are not involved in after-school activities by 3:10 p.m.
If immediate transportation is not possible, contact one of our assistant principals to request permission for your student to wait in a designated supervised area.
Have a conversation with your student about their after-school plans to ensure they are either participating in a supervised activity or heading home promptly.
Students without a ride must secure permission from an assistant principal to wait quietly in an approved location until 4:00 p.m. Wandering the building or remaining on campus without supervision is not permitted.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and well-supervised environment after school.
