WIAA Spotlights Four Titles. One Common Thread: Family
Four programs—Oostburg, Wisconsin Lutheran, Milwaukee Juneau, and Reedsville—finished the 2026 season as State Champions, each sharing a meaningful connection beyond the game. The head coach on each team was also a father to one or more players. At Wisconsin Lutheran, that story comes into focus through Coach Ryan Walz (’92) and Riley Walz (’27)—a father and son contributing to Wisco’s third consecutive state title and continuing a legacy of excellence.
These relationships reflect a deeper story of trust, leadership, and shared commitment—on and off the court.
For Wisco, it’s more than championships—it’s about family, faith, and a legacy that continues to grow.
