Junior Niyer Clayborn is earning recognition beyond Wisco, with nominations for both the Piggly Wiggly Milwaukee Journal Sentinel High School Athlete of the Week and ESPN Milwaukee’s UW Credit Union Student Athlete of the Week.

Niyer delivered an outstanding performance at the Carleton Sitz Invitational, winning three events and setting a new state record in the 110-meter high hurdles (13.67)—a time that ranks among the top 15 in the nation this season. He also posted the fastest 300-meter hurdles time in the state (38.01) this year, while setting both a meet and facility record at Wisco.
