Viking Explorer Summer Camps Keep Students Moving, Creating, and Learning
It has been a busy and exciting summer at Wisco as grade school students continue participating in a variety of Viking Explorer camps. Sports Performance Camp gave boys and girls in grades 6–9 the opportunity to become stronger, faster, better jumpers, and more explosive athletes. Over the six-week program, campers worked together to maximize their performance for any sport.
Boys Golf Camp took place over four Wednesdays at Storms Golf Range. Campers focused on the fundamentals of putting, chipping, and hitting the ball, while also enjoying golf games such as closest to the hole and twenty-one.
Viking Explorer Softball Camp wrapped up with girls in grades 2–8 learning and developing new skills. Campers had fun running drills and playing games focused on improving their technique and becoming even better softball players.
Viking Steel also held its second camp session for students in grades 7–9 who were interested in learning to play steel pans. Campers not only learned songs throughout the week, but also had the chance to create some of their own music. They wrapped up the session with a short concert for family and friends.

During Robotics Camp Session 2, students learned the ins and outs of creating and programming a robot. Throughout the week, they worked toward commanding their robots to complete assigned tasks and did an amazing job putting their new skills into action.
