Updates to Student Dress and Headphone Policies
This school year, WLHS will introduce a first-semester trial allowing students to wear athletic pants during the school day, any day of the week. Appropriate options include neat joggers and sweatpants. Leggings, jeggings, spandex, and pajama bottoms will continue to be prohibited as well as writing on the backside of pants. We hope this adjustment provides students with additional flexibility while encouraging modest, appropriate, and Christ-centered choices in dress.
Students will no longer be permitted to use personal headphones during school hours.
When headphones are needed for instructional purposes, students will use headphones purchased through the school for a fee of $10. This change is intended to promote consistency, accountability, and a learning environment with fewer distractions.
