Girls Cross Country Covered Great Distances this Summer
Wisconsin Lutheran’s girls cross country runners logged summer miles throughout Milwaukee and Wisconsin—and far beyond. During family vacations and mission trips, team members trained in Kenya, Brazil, Lithuania, Puerto Rico, and 12 other states.
Eighteen runners and five parents also traveled to Colorado for a five-day team trip organized by Coach Beth Shiels. The group completed more than 20 miles of challenging hikes in three days while continuing their running workouts.
Along the way, they ran the renowned Magnolia Road, swam in a mountain lake, explored Estes Park and a historic ranch, and painted rocks for a local 5K. The experience strengthened the team’s bonds and created a supportive sisterhood ready for the upcoming season. To God be the glory!
