Hope Squad Park 'N Party Supports Student Mental Health
WLHS Hope Squad kicked off the school year with its annual Park ’N Party, bringing students together for food, ice cream, and fellowship while raising funds to support student mental health services. Proceeds help remove financial barriers for students who may need counseling through WLHS partner Christian Family Solutions.
Hope Squad members also recently completed QPR training, which teaches participants how to recognize warning signs, respond to someone who may be struggling, and connect them with appropriate help. Members received WLHS Hope Squad keychains for their backpacks as a visible sign that they are trained and available to help connect peers with support.
