Four Vikings Qualify for WIAA State Cross Country Championships
Congratulations to Reina Ebeling ('28), Ana Buske ('27), Iona Kuehn ('28), and Gabriel Hernandez ('28), who qualified as individuals for the WIAA State Cross Country Championships following impressive performances at this weekend’s sectional meet! Both the boys and girls teams turned in strong performances, finishing third and fourth, respectively, and narrowly missing team qualification for state.
This marks some exciting milestones. Reina is heading to state for the third consecutive year, Iona and Gabe are making their second straight appearance, and Ana becomes just the 14th girl in WLHS history to qualify for state all four years of high school!
Our four Vikings will compete at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 31, in Wisconsin Rapids, with the girls racing at 1:20 p.m. and the boys racing at 3:10 p.m.
Thank you to the many Wisco students who came out to cheer on our runners at sectionals! We wish our state qualifiers God's richest blessings as they represent WLHS on Saturday. Go Vikings!
