The Viking volleyball team took fourth place at the season-opening Crusader Challenge on Saturday. In pool play they beat Martin Luther, Muskego and Sheboygan North. In the gold bracket playoffs they lost tough matches to Cedarburg and SWCHA. Leading the way for Wisco was Julia Treichel with 39 kills, Grace Beyer with 87 assists and 8 aces, Morgan Dunn with 51 digs and Grace Weide and Natalie Tesch with 5 total blocks each.
The program hosts Pius XI in the Woodland Conference opener on Thursday.
