8th Grade: MPCP and WPCP Open Enrollment for 2026-27 is February 2-20, 2026
2026 Open Enrollment starts on Monday, February 2, and is for all families wishing to utilize the Milwaukee (MPCP) or Wisconsin (WPCP) Parental Choice Program for the 2026-27 school year.
NEW THIS YEAR: families who intend to utilize the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program - WPCP (who live outside the City of Milwaukee) must apply by Friday, February 20, 2026. The deadline no longer extends into April!

- If you wish to or have applied at WLHS under the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), you must apply online using the DPI website during the enrollment period to complete an application for the program. THIS APPLIES TO ALL FAMILIES WHO INTEND TO TRY TO USE CHOICE, EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN CHOICE AT YOUR CHILD’S ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL.
- You must have an email address (parent email address) to complete the online application, and if you do not have an email address, you will need to create one to apply (no exceptions as there are no paper applications).
- Then, you (PARENT/GUARDIAN) need to EMAIL YOUR VERIFYING DOCUMENTS, instructed by your individual online application, to WLHS at choice@wlhs.org. All required documents need to be submitted prior to the closing of the open enrollment period on Friday, February 20, 2026, in order for your application to be processed. No exceptions can be made, so please plan accordingly.
- MPCP and WPCP lottery results will be announced on Friday, February 27.
